Poetry Writing - SS

My Magic Box
I will put in the box

The sombre mysteries from the dark side of the moon
The indigo heart of a petrified Brazilian soldier
Fire from the hottest, blistering chilli in the wide country of Spain

I will put in the box

The life-threatening song of a desperate Siren
The truthful eye of the Mother Confessor
The tiny voice of a Greek Night Wisp

I will put in the box

The rapidness of a rushing river spraying in my face
The strength of a great typhoon pounding onto silver concrete
The ferocity of a raging fire

I will put in the box

A glassy reflection from a frozen lake
Vibrant Frangipanis flourishing inspiringly
The last emerald green oak leaf of summer

My box is designed from shiny glass from the conjuring
world of Persia.
It has the azure tears of stone on the lid and the flowing
breath of life in the corners.
Its hinges are the springing joy of growing gorse.

I shall glide in the deep skies of the sapphire planet Neptune,
Then rocket off to the shark-filled waters of Draden’s Reef.

My magic box
I will put in the box
Joy bursting out of a child’s mind,
The frozen smile of a gruffalo,
The steam from a cold winter’s night.

I will put in the box
A nightmare from a terrified soldier,
A tick from the first golden clock,
The burnt feather of a weeping arch angel.

I will put in the box
The memory of a leprechaun jumping over the rainbow,
The beat of a mammoth’s heart,
The laughter of the oldest hyena.

I will put in the box
The voice of a beating drum,
The hideous head of slithery Medusa,
A poem spoken in an unknown language.

My box is crafted from a meteor’s shell,
placed like a jigsaw puzzle with nightmares on the lid and magic in the corners.
I shall go snowboarding in my box
on high winter hills breathing the steam from the cold winter night.
Then I will end up watching the northern lights in the cold winter chill.

Poetry writing, IY

My magic box poem By IY
I will put in my box
The softest touch from a delicate feather,
A silky lock of Goldilocks' golden hair,
The powerful magic from an old wrinkly wizard.

I will put in my box,
A giant piece of the scorching sun,
The knowledge from the wisest man on Earth,
The raging anger from a fierce bull.

I will put in my box
An unknown planet full of mysterious creatures,
A glowing spark from a burning firework,
A trembling shiver from the bitterness of Antarctica.

I will put in the box
A crying scream, yelping for help,
A flying horse to take me over the fluffy clouds,
The 13th month where all your dreams will come true.

My box is fashioned from stars, snow and fire,
With magic on the lid and wishes in the corners,
Its hinges are the halos of angels.

I shall travel back to wonderful memories in my box,
Through amazing journeys, my first birthday or the excitement of reaching Rainbow's End,
Then come back in a time machine and land in Paradise!

My Magic Box
I shall put in my box
The gentle rub of a genie's lamp,
A grey cloud from a stormy day,
The last tick of a cuckoo clock.
I shall put in my box
A whisper from a dying soul,
The first taste of a red-coloured poppadom,
Salt from a dried out sea.
I shall put in my box
Three golden stars from the night sky,
The scent of a yellow daffodil on a calm spring day,
The last sound from Michael Jackson.
I shall put in my box
The last grain of sand from a deserted beach,
The first bite of a chocolate Easter egg,
Everlasting despair from a tortured prisoner.
My box is fashioned from wood, metal and glass
With dragons on the lid and fire in the corners.
Its hinges are the scales of a golden brown dragon.
I shall swim in my box
through the untamed water of the bright blue Pacific Ocean,
then explore a grassy, green forest
on a giant grey elephant.

My Magic Box

I will put in my box
The purity of Pegasus gliding through bright, beautiful flowers,
The beating heart of an evil wizard from the dark side,
The last breath of a loved one going to God’s home above us.

I will put in my box
A leprechaun sneakily tip- toeing through the rainbow,
A moon filled night on the beach.

I will put in my box
A million eyes watching over us,
The last spell written in dragon’s blood,
The first flame from the Olympic cauldron

My box is fashioned from the spring time flowers.
It has humming birds on the lid and butterflies in the corners.
The hinges are made out of stripes of purple and blue.
In my box I will drift and glide to my glorious planet out of this universe. I will relax on the cold ice and gleam at the southern lights.
I will sail to a far mystical land where the sun sleeps and the moon awake and fills the sky with hope, peace and dreams.

My Magic Box

I will put in my box
The tick of a clock as it strikes midnight
A drop of blood from an evil vampire
The billowing smoke from a campfire

I will put in my box
The first brush stroke from Picasso
A feather from a baby penguin
Wonder Woman fighting a devil

I will put in my box
The first whimper of a new born baby
A leaping spark from a stingray’s tail
And a frozen smile from an evil witch

I will put in my box
The rumbling belly of a Chinese dragon
The laugh of a lion
And the roar of a hyena

My box is fashioned from water, ice and fire
With rain drops on the lid and shadows in the corners
Its hinges are ankle bones of angels

I shall dance in my box to Michael Jackson
On a wild safari
Then I will wash up on a golden beach the colour of stars
