If I were a Worm

If I were a worm
If I were a slippery worm,
I’d squiggle all day and stuff my mouth with mud.
I’d be gooey, squishy and stretchy like slime from a shop.
I’d have to squirm up out of the ground to take a breath, then wiggle back.
When my fat pink body went in the mud,my back would go up and down.
I would feel safe and sound underground because not much could harm me.
All day long I’d jiggle around doing nothing happily.

Paragraph writing

When the children pushed open the door, rats came scrambling out.  The children screamed! Then they went inside, but they got locked in, because the door automatically locked behind them.  They saw a fascinating magic machine  in the room. When the children switched it on, they got transformed to another country.

If I were a Venus Fly Trap

If I were a Venus Fly Trap

I’d have faded purple on my smooth tender head with my strong stem standing tall.
When my prey was in sight I would bring out my teeth like a hornet's sting and I would chop my fly like cheese on a mouse trap.
After that I would slowly get up and wait for something else to approach me.
All day long I would guard my garden from those pesky flies.

If I were an Artist's Palette

If I Were an Artist’s Palette
If I were an artist’s palette,
I’d contain big sloppy splodges of colourful jelly-like paint,
I’d swish and swirl amongst the wide piece of paper like the wind twirling on a freezing cold winter’s day.
I’d have a professional artist handling me.
My artist would use my watery paint to create different types of wild, interesting patterns.
I would feel worn out and used by the end of the day.
All day long I’d splish, splosh and blend.

If I were a Kitten

IF I WERE A KITTEN
If I were a kitten,
I’d pounce and cling onto my toys.
I’d have a soft smooth coat like a brand new bear from the teddy store.
I’d have a playful, excited attitude all day long.
When I heard my food being poured I’d run as fast as a cheetah chasing its prae.
I’d have impressive patterns all over my body.
When my pink little tongue scooped up water I’d feel delighted.
I’d feel warm when I was being stroked by my owner.
All day long I’d be the king of attention.

If I were a Tiger

If I Were a Tiger
I’d have beautiful fur covering my body with white and orange stripes.
I’d sneak up to my prey in the long grass like a hunter when he’s about to shoot a dear.
I’d have fierce claws as hard as iron to kill my prey.
When my prey was killed and eaten I’d have a wonderful nap in front of the sun.
I would feel as powerful as a man destroying robot.
All day long I’d wonder around in the enormous  rainforest.

If I were a Cheetah

               If I Were A Cheetah
If I were a cheetah,
I’d run like lightning to chase my delicious prey.
I’d speed around the wild waving trees in the forest on my rough velvet paws like a speedy race car.
My soft silky orange, blazing red and yellow fur would glisten in the sun.
When my prey would lie down to rest, I’d tip-toe up to it then pounce.
I would feel like a proud king of the huge forest.
All day long I’d dream, eat and sleep.

If I were a Jellyfish

If I Were a Jellyfish
If I were a jellyfish
I’d float around peacefully and spread my velvet, fleshy body.
I’d have twiny tendrils wobbling in the clear H2O.
I’d alarm people like a smoky thunder cloud covering the sky.
When my predator attacked I would unpredictably shock them with my soggy tendrils.
I would feel boastful and clever when I inhale a scaly escaping fish.
I’d be feeling dangerous and deadly when my prey approaches my beauty.
I’d have a gorgeous body floating on the surface like a pearly white cloud.

If I were a Boxing Glove

If I Were A Boxing Glove
If I were a boxing glove,
I’d have a red leather cover with sweat dripping down my padded thumb.
I’d have white stringy lace like an old granny’s hair to stop me from slipping off.
I’d have a powerful punch that would repeatedly sink into my opponent’s gut, until the ref loudly yelled K.O!
When my attacker strikes back I’d whack him in the mouth hoping for a rotten tooth to drop.
I’d feel like the king of the world when I lifted up the shiny belt of gold.
All day long I’d hang around in the stuffy changing room waiting for the next dangerous round.

If I were a Moray Eel

If I Were a Moray Eel

If I were a Moray Eel,
I’d have thin, slippery scales running the length of my body.
I’d send shivers down the spine of other sea creatures.
I’d have razor sharp teeth like a knife.
I’d have a shadowy lair in the cracks of the rocks, where I would wait silently for passing prey.
When a fish passed I’d lunge out striking with immense force, then drag it back to my HQ to joyfully feast, undisturbed.
I’d feel strong, proud and lethal.
All day long I’d wait, eat and hide.
